ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To put forward relevant suggestions for promoting the R&D cooperation in biomedical field in China. METHODS:Information of all invention co-patents in biomedical fields during 2000-2015 in patent database was collected,includ-ing year, patent name, application number, applicant, patent address, etc.,and descriptive statistical analysis was conducted. RE-SULTS:The number of invention co-patents in biomedical fields had been increasing year by year, and the number of invention co-patents in 2015 was about 9 times than that in 2000. Invention co-patents mainly came from Beijing,Shanghai and Guangdong, accounting for 49.1%. The top 15 applicants had 983 invention co-patents in total, accounting for 8.9% of the total number of co-patents,7 of which were enterprises. And in the invention co-patents applied by the top 10 cities for GDP ranking in 2014,inven-tion co-patents applied by enterprises, scientific research institutions(include hospitals)and universities accounted for 56.2% of all patents. CONCLUSIONS:The R&D cooperation in biomedical fields has mainly focused on a few developed provinces and cities, with low concentration of invention co-patents;the R&D cooperation is mainly led by enterprises, and hospitals have low participa-tion. The government should establish national biomedical information sharing platform, raise the R&D cooperation awareness of large-scale pharmaceutical enterprises and encourage hospitals to actively participate in R&D cooperation activities in biomedicine fields.

ABSTRACT

Through the collection and collation of the industrial sales output values of Chinese patent medicines in 31 provinces of China from 2005 to 2014,the regional distribution characteristics and changing trend of Chinese patent medicine industry in the past ten years were analyzed by using the descriptive statistical analysis method in statistics. The results showed that the industrial sales output values of Chinese patent medicines in Jilin, Shandong, Jiangxi, Sichuan and Guangdong accounted for the largest proportion of the country, while Ningxia accounted for only 0.04% of the whole country. Anhui Province had the largest fluctuations in data, and its coefficient of variation was as high as 102.03%.The average annual growth rate of the industrial sales output value of Chinese patent medicines was lowest in Ningxia, only -1.09%.Based on the statistical analysis of the industrial sales output value of Chinese patent medicines in four major economic regions, the data concentration trend was as follows: east> west> central> northeast; the data fluctuation trend was northeast> central> west> east, and the average annual growth rate from large to small was northeast> central> west> east. This study was conducive to understand the differencesin the industrial sales output value of Chinese patent medicines among various provinces and economic regions, and to lay the foundation for the correct understanding and in-depth exploration of the factors that may affect the industrial sales output value of Chinese patent medicines. This study has reference value for the management and economic research of traditional Chinese medicine resources.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACTThe melon from Sao Caetano is a climbing plant, originally from India and South East India and is found in the savanna biome. This study aimed to evaluate the biometric fruit and the number of seeds per fruit of the melon Sao Caetano. The fruits were collected inside a native vegetation area of the campus at the Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido (UFERSA), located in the city of Mossoró, RN. They were then taken to the laboratory of crop science, for the determination of the following characteristics: length, diameter and fruit weight as well as number of seeds per fruit. The descriptive and graphical analyzes were performed by using the statistical package R -project software. The length and diameter variables exhibited a low amplitude variation and a good value for the coefficient of variation. However, the fruit weight and number of seeds per fruit showed a high amplitude variation. There was a high degree of symmetry and a flattened distribution for all traits evaluated in this study. It was also found significant positive simple linear correlation between the length and diameter, and no significant difference between the weight and number of seeds per fruit. The data related to all features of the São Caetano melon fruit evaluated in this study were adjusted to normal distribution of probability which allows the performance of interferences with statistical basis.
